Let's get right to the point. here are the rules, please read them carefully and ask questions if you need clarification on a rule.
If your here, you probably remember the rules of old. run with that.
Do not engage in Random DeathMatch (RDM)
RDM: Killing or otherwise harming other players without a reasonable cause; a reasonable cause being involvement in roleplay circumstances, such as mugging, raiding, kidnapping, or counter-criming.
Do not Metagame
Metagame: When one uses knowledge obtained outside of a roleplay scenario within their game.
Do not commit FailRP
FailRP: The act of abusing game abilities that would not ordinarily be available to you in real life.
Such circumstances include, but are not limited to: killing oneself during roleplay situations, breaking the New Life Rule, and other related circumstances.
If someone forces an obscene or otherwise uncomforting roleplay scenario, such as sexual abuse, that is not mutually agreed upon, the situation would be considered FailRP.
Kill command is allowed when one isn’t involved in a roleplay circumstance, when one is forced into certain roleplay situations, as mentioned above, and when the kidnapper is AFK or otherwise inactive during the kidnap scenario for more than 10 minutes.
Do not break the New Life Rule
New Life Rule: Rule which states that one must not go to an area where they died at for five minutes without reason, must not use roleplay knowledge gained from their “past life” to their advantage, and must not address players who have recently died in the manner that they would in their past life.
Do not wear considerably offensive PACs or PACs that obstruct the gameplay or experience of others.
Players may request that you remove your PAC if it is seen as considerably offensive.
Do not Prop Abuse
Prop Abuse: When one uses props in order to gain an unfair advantage not normally present in real life, or otherwise seriously impact the experience of other players.
Certain obstacles such as roadblocks, property fences, and other similar “prop-blocking” means are allowed in certain proportions.
Cameras must be visible from any viewable angle to be used.
Use of excessive props, overly bright lamps or lights (distance too high or brightness too high), or any other object that impedes a player’s computing performance or game is classified as prop abuse.
Use of invisible props to obstruct an rp scenario is prop abuse.
Do not harass players or staff
Harassment: adamantly interrupting one’s roleplay experience, preventing one’s ability to staff, or causing an annoyance or disturbance after being asked not to.
Sexual harassment, or committing an offense of the like, is not allowed.
Do not disrespect players or staff
Purposefully offending, mistreating, or, in general, disrespecting any player or staff member outside of roleplay circumstances is typically a kickable offense, minimum.
Additional Rule Listings
Crime
All crimes must be advertised using /advert “Crime Name Here”
One must be given at least the count of five (one-Mississippi, two-Mississippi, etc.) before the instigator may damage the other person(s).
This primarily applies to mugging.
Those who believe someone is committing a crime against them must give the same amount of time before acting, as well.
You must wait an absolute minimum of 10 minutes after declaring the crime as “over” before committing a crime against someone or something, again.
Mug: 10 minutes
Raid: 15 minutes
Kidnap: 20 minutes
Rules for Specific Crimes
Mug
The maximum amount you can mug someone for is $500
Raid
In order to kill a raider, you must counter-crime or be in the building when the raid begins.
You must start the raid outside of the building.
Your part in the raid is over as soon as you leave the premises, whether you started the raid, are assisting, or are countering/defending.
A raid is over once the time limit of 15 minutes is reached.
You can not start lockpicking until you advertise the raid.
Kidnap
One must not force someone into a kidnap scenario that is not mutually agreed upon.
The kidnapee may use the kill command after a kidnap has exceeded 15 minutes.
Theft
Carjacking
One must advert “Carjack” before lockpicking the vehicle.
If vehicle is already unlocked, you must advert before you enter.
If your vehicle is being carjacked, you may not interact with it, only through an indirect means such as requesting police
Counter-Crime
In order to counter a crime, one must:
Possess a job that is allowed to counter-crime
Be in direct line of sight when someone begins a crime through advert,
Observe someone perform an action associated with a crime,
Or receive report of a crime-in-progress from a bystander.
The bystander must abide by the above two rules in order to report.
Self-Defense
If you are damaged by another player, whether it be for crime or for RDM, you may use lethal means to defend yourself, if absolutely necessary.
If you can get away without being killed and / or call staff to the situation if someone is RDMing, please do so as a first measure.
RP Zones
Within roleplaying zones, one is impervious of crimes or other, unwanted, outside events.
The use of roleplaying zones is limited to certain jobs and scenarios.
To own or go into an RP Zone, you must be a Background Character.
Use of RP Zones to avoid crimes or hits is considered FailRP.
Use of RP Zones is strictly for roleplaying.
Rules of Base Building
Fading Doors
Fading doors intended for players to pass through must:
Not obstruct a player when placed adjacent to another door.
Have a keypad, button, or similar device on both sides of the fading door, allowing a minimum of two seconds to enter.
Only one “layer” of fading doors is allowed per entrance or inner-door.
Forcible Entry and Loitering
One must place a sign onto their building stating the consequences of entering the premises.
FearRP
When you are the victim of a crime, it is recommended you interact with the situation as if it were in real life; i.e. when you are being mugged, you must comply with the mugger; no running away and getting killed, and no turning around and killing the mugger.
